Walking in Scotland in 2012 with friends, and came across an abandoned tenant farmer’s house. The sheep had taken over and trees grew from the chimney. Some furniture remained,
a shopping catalogue from the 1970’s and a sheep record book.
I was interested in exploring the dereliction and decay, and the echoes left behind that made connections with past lives.
Working with cyanotype in my studio, I layered text and image onto tea plates, celebrating with ordinary domesticity the re-viewing of what remained.
