inspired by a coracle I made recently in Coed Llwyn Onn workshop. Coracles on the River Dwyryd were a more rectangular shape – I chose this classic traditional design as I could see links with my own work.

The black and white porcelain vessels make a connection with the coracle: the black body with the bitumen outer shell and the inner woven ash lathes picked out with strips of white clay.
